Nagapattinam Beach

My all time favourite beach getting new (nautical )milestones 😅...in order to avoid water getting into the town, govt pouring blue metals near to the residential area.

Nagapattinam Beach- a good one to go with family. Enjoyed a lot. Small shops are there. Ideal time would be evening. Parking facilities are available. If you want less crowded beach, can choose this one.

A really long beach, which is also an abode to a huge fisherman community, along with rows and rows of beautiful casuarinas. It would be quite beautiful, if not for the people, locals and tourists alike, who take it to be their life's sole purpose to turn the beach into a dump yard. Not sure if you can see the sun rise over the waters, since I didn't see it even once in the 3 weeks that I spent there. But you sure would see moon if you go down there early in the morning. Not one or two, countless moons, in all shapes and sizes. It's really beautiful to look at from afar, and had clicked some really beautiful pictures over there. It has a little walkway of sorts that sees quite a bit of footfalls every morning. There are a few swings and see-saws for the kids and a few benches to sit on. The public bathroom there is a disaster and you might need to visit the hospital if you set foot in it. You would find a parking lot and a Tsunami Memorial Park on the way to the beach. Evenings on Sundays are a big affair here with locals coming to enjoy the breeze, and you would also find a few quick bites stuffs like vada, corn, ice-cream being sold. You can tell the presence of eatables stalls if you are in the general vicinity by looking at the sky in the general direction of the beach. If huge numbers of crows are visible, then it indicates that the party is ON. You would be hard pressed to find a dustbin to throw the paper plates and ice cream sticks, and if you're a nature lover, it's recommended that you carry a polythene bag on you to carry back the paper waste you generate. The mornings are peaceful, but it's recommended not to take your female friends/relatives along with you early in the morning if you plan to enter the beach. You could see a lot of flag poles along with the regular moons, and might even have to muscle about a bit to get out unscathed - or that's what I was told, and I believe them seeing the stares I used to get on setting foot on the beach at about 5:30 in the morning for a few days. It would be a really beautiful place if the locals and the authorities take some interest in it. Have added a few photos that I clicked. The casuarinas look really nice. Notice the sun is visible at a distance off the horizon.

Very calm and peaceful place

Nice beach with backwater seen. Good place to visit. Little away from the town but silent and clean. Their is no much transport facilities for this beach.
