St. Cyrus Beach in Scotland is easy to reach with parking and shops nearby. There are a few different paths to the beach, but once you're there, it's like many other beaches in northeast Scotland. It's a nice spot for a walk, whether you're out for some fresh air or taking your dog for a stroll. While it may not be the most unique beach around, it's still a good choice for a simple and enjoyable day out by the sea.
Beautiful spot with a decent car park complete with three designated campervan slots although the gradient they are on is 'interesting.' There are well maintained toilets to the rear of the wardens' office and they are left open till the evening and re-opened in the morning. There are Wardens about who are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There is a donation box at the Wardens office or you can go online. If you wish to continue to have access to decent, clean and well maintained facilities then I would suggest you use it. The beach is about ten minutes walk and well worth checking out, even on an overcast day. As you can see from the photos there are many large pieces of driftwood on the beach. They have just been left there. It may not sound wonderful but the sea has done its work on them and they really add to the scene. Well worth a visit and even a stop over if you want an evening by the sea.
Beautiful beach on a sunny winters day. Beach had a handful of people felt like we had it to ourselves. The dog loved it. I’ll be back. There’s lots of walks around there to try.
Amazing beach but I'd advise against letting the kids go too far into the sea... the sand is quite soft and sinks ..I got caught out today and got soaked up to my knees .. thought the tide was out and it came thundering back like a tsunami
Great hike from the viewing point down to the beach with stunning views asking the way. The beach itself is gorgeous.
