AuSable resort area

Our family reunion in August was absolutely wonderful. We booked 3 cottages, 3 suites, and the big house, and everything was fabulous. The beach, the bonfires, and the sandy playground for the kids were all fantastic. We loved every moment! We're hoping to make this a yearly destination. Thank you for an amazing time.

You have to appreciate this place for what it is. It may not be fancy or polished, but that only adds to its charm. The owners are wonderfully polite and personable. The rooms and resort are small but full of character and very comfortable. The location is fantastic. We made it a point to watch the sunrise every morning, and it was different and beautiful each day. My family loved sitting around the fire on the beach. My toddler daughter enjoyed playing in the sand and on the playground, while my teenagers went swimming, read books, and played games. It was a great trip, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We loved our visit and plan to return.

Fantastic spot by the lake! As a family of four with 4-year-old twins, the larger cabin (which sleeps 6) suited us perfectly. The cabins are modest and compact, but they were clean and well-equipped. It's not a luxury resort by any stretch (a 5-star rating here doesn't equate to 5-star accommodations), but it was more than adequate. The beach area is ideal for families, with plenty of activities for the kids and everything conveniently located so we could easily keep an eye on them. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything you might need, including lots of chairs, a fire pit, plenty of picnic tables, grills, and grilling utensils. Although the water access area is small, it didn't pose any issues for us. We would definitely return!

This resort on Lake Huron offers a great experience at a reasonable price. The cottages and suites are designed so that each one has a lake view. We stayed in a suite, which was similar in size to a motel room. It was perfect for the two of us, updated, and very clean. The sunrises over Lake Huron are spectacular and can be seen from anywhere on the property. The resort is conveniently located between Downtown Oscoda and Tawas City, providing plenty of dining and activity options. We are planning to return next year for a longer stay with family. It's definitely worth your time to check it out.

We stayed for 4 nights on a girls' trip and had an amazing time. Suite 9 featured a full kitchen and was both clean and comfortable. The lakefront views and sandy beachfront were stunning, and we loved having a fire pit right on the beach! The owners were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely come back again.
