The roads leading to the beach are unpaved, so it's best to stay in nearby towns and arrive early in the morning, leaving by 3pm as the area is too deserted to stay late. The signs are not very clear, and GPS may not be helpful. There is an entrance fee of 150 pesos per person, and you will need to negotiate the boat ride. You can ask for the VIP area, which is a bit further from the common area, for around 2,000 pesos. Despite these challenges, I absolutely love this place, known as "Las Bahías de las Águilas".
Make sure to bring a strong insect repellent with you when visiting this beach. It's a great spot for camping, but be sure to negotiate with the locals before using any of their services and avoid paying in advance.
It's a great spot with a woman selling drinks at the entrance. The path to Bahía de las Águilas is around 4 miles long and offers stunning views along the way. Overall, no complaints.
This beach is like a hidden paradise for those who enjoy both the desert and the ocean. It's interesting how the access road runs right alongside the water!
It's a beautiful spot, but if you're in Santo Domingo, don't even consider visiting this beach and trying to return on the same day. You won't have a good time and you'll end up exhausted. Trust me.
