We enjoyed a lovely breakfast overlooking the stunning sea view. The server was incredibly polite and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic one-day stay at the Mermaid Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly! They warmly greeted us and showed us great care. We came from the main island for a day on our Honeymoon. The beach was absolutely stunning, and it's just a few steps away from our room. The breakfast was delicious, and there's a charming little bar/restaurant where you can enjoy lunch and dinner. They offer options like Curried Chicken, fish and chips, or chicken and chips. The only suggestion I have is for the restaurant to also serve lunch or dinner. It's such a wonderful spot for food, and we couldn't find anywhere else with a better view. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be returning soon! Thank you so much for the amazing treatment! John and Siobhan
If you're looking for a hotel that offers direct beach access, then this is the perfect choice for you. The rooms are contemporary and filled with natural light. The manager, Damali, is absolutely fantastic. Additionally, there is a restaurant conveniently located on the premises.
This property is great, but please read the following before booking! Pros: - The location in Hillsborough town is fantastic, with a beautiful view of the beach. - The room is super clean and modern, with all the essentials provided (or available upon request). - The staff, both at the hotel and the restaurant next door, are friendly and responsive. Cons: - I found out that the hotel's water is heated by solar panels, so it can be freezing cold in the morning. I would suggest the hotel consider using electric power instead. (Nobody wants to wait until midday for a lukewarm shower.) - I would strongly recommend having an overnight security guard for the property, especially during carnival period. Anyone can enter the hotel near the rooms and bang/kick on the doors, which can be quite frightening.
The hotel is lovely and exceptionally clean, surpassing the larger 5-star hotels in main Grenada. The staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable. However, the location doesn't offer many options for dining in the evening, as the town lacks eateries. There is only one place available for lunch. On a positive note, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that can conveniently take you to other destinations on the island for a fare of 3EC.
