Good stretch of sand which is wide enough to lay your towel on and still have people pass. If you're not with dogs, I'd recommend either finding another place or going towards the quieter ends of the beach as the dogs here are a nuisance that will run over your towels and their owners do little in the way of controlling or even apologising for it.
It’s a good sheltered beach with paddle board and kayak opportunity, at the time I went (Australian Day) the water was dirty and slimy and not that pleasant to swim in. Would definitely recommend if you have pets or looking at a semi quiet beach close to Sydney harbour.
Great spot for paddleboarding.
A tranquil beach that is part sand, part lawn. You'll find plenty of shade under the trees. There are many unleashed dogs having the time of their life in the calm water. Wear shoes as there are a number of thorny and sharp things laying about the lawn side. The sand also has a lot of debris from the trees. Swimming is OK here but not recommended for three days after it rains. There is a kayak and SUP (stand up paddle board) hire shop on the far left (facing the harbour).
A lovely little beach with trees running alongside it... A public boat shed where kayaks can be hired. We've seen loads of sealife here... hermit crabs, starfish and even a seal! Located conveniently close to the kiosk on the wharf where drinks, food and a toilet are available at most times. Younger children play on the sand while older children climb on the big-kids playground and swim.
