Byron Bay is a fantastic destination for a family getaway! You can relax on the beach, have a barbecue, indulge in doughnuts and coke, or even take a short hike to the end of Byron Bay point. Additionally, there is a charming white chapel near the lighthouse area that adds to the beauty of the place. It's definitely worth a visit to find some peace of mind.
This beach is located right next to the town center and it is incredibly popular. Even at 10:30 am, it was a real challenge to find a parking spot. However, once we managed to park the car, we were greeted by a truly fantastic beach. It offers something for everyone, whether you're a surfer, swimmer, walker, or just looking to unwind. The water was still pleasantly warm and the panoramic views were absolutely delightful.
The beach is amazing, with waves that can get really intense, but it's all part of the fun. We had a great time catching waves with our surfboard and riding the waves with our boogie board. It was an incredible day enjoying the sun, the soft white sand, the beautiful blue ocean, and the powerful waves. This beach has something for everyone, but be cautious about where you enter and how far you go down, especially towards the Byron end where we did see some nudists. Overall, it was a fantastic beach.
The beach remains beautiful due to its natural surroundings and scenic views. However, the recent storm surge has significantly eroded the sand, resulting in noticeable damage. The foreshore area is in dire need of revitalization as it has lost its charm over the years. It's been two decades since my last visit, and unfortunately, it appears unchanged, which is disappointing as it gives off a tired and neglected vibe.
It's a stunning destination to visit. The beaches, scenery, and strolls are absolutely breathtaking. Make sure to grab an ice cream or coffee after you visit the main highlight, the Light House. Explore fascinating artifacts and take a tour to the top to discover how it was maintained. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of sea turtles, dolphins, or even the magnificent whales in the winter season.
