July is such a great time to visit. Weather was amazing, perfect clear sunny days. Make sure you get up at 6am and walk up to the headland, there are many whales and easily visible from the lookout.
Cabarita Beach is basically three beaches in one. One of the best, if not the best beach in Northern New South Wales and only an hours drive from the heart of Surfers Paradise in Queensland. A long stretch of ocean beach with surf patrols comprises the northern section. A middle section walled by rocks and cliffs, not patrolled and the southern section also not patrolled but the ambience of all three is special. The southern beach has a large grassy hill with a boardwalk to a whale viewing platform at the top. The southern section is also the favourite of board riders, The main northern beach is family friendly but limited parking. The two southern sections are still family friendly with lots of access stairs. There is more parking but on popular days - most days - getting parking near the beach can be a problem. There are bench tables and barbecue facilities and all three beaches has lots of shade from the wonderful Pandanus and Casuarina trees dotted at the back of the beach and among the cliffs and rocks. It is not wheelchair friendly but agile parents can usually get a pram onto the beach.
there are two beach separated by a hill. both of them are beautiful.
