This is one of the great secluded sandy beach closest to cork. This has a good car park. There’s a tarmac way until the seashore. But the way is steeper and caution to be taken while walking up or down. There is a stream joins the beach which allows us to enjoy. There’s a cliff walk also for grownups.
White Bay is a lovely scenic beach on the south coast of Ireland. Safe for swimming and offers an amazing view from the beach. Lots of yachts, boats, and tankers come past in the distance as it's near the entrance to Cork port. To access the beach, you need to park up at the Car Park and walk down a long lane to the beach. There is a long steep walk up and down from the parking park. Do not forget to check the tides, as the beach gets small at high tide. Most of the time it's windy. Nice to swim, shallow water. Safe for kids. Lots of caves. At some places the rocks are loose, so take care when finding place to settle.
This beach is so beautiful , very calming and clean, only downside is you need to walk a little bit from the parking to reach the beach, and coming back up hill on a warm day is a bit exhausting 😅
Small secluded beach with car park. Tarmac pathway all the way to beach from carpark but it is a long walk and very steep. Sea is calm in this area, great for children, swimming and paddle boarding.
An amazing swimming beach with lovely white sand. Best to visit at low tide. A fairly long steep walk down from the car park but the pathway has just been resurfaced and is now 100% buggy or wheelchair friendly. The only snag with a buggy is that you do need to get over a section of beach pebbles and rocks to get onto the sand. Great beach for families with kids!
