Very rocky beach area. One cafe which is expensive, a toasted bread with tomato was 9 euro. Very steep road in but there is a local bus for 50 cent
Beautiful beach, slightly difficult to swim due to the large round and slippery stones that extend for at least 10 meters from the shore. The much criticized concrete platform at the beginning of the beach is actually crowded with sunbeds and an excellent diving platform, so all this means that people actually like the beach. Super positive note: completely FREE bathrooms and showers, something that cannot be found on Elba, which makes the return journey from the beach less burdensome given the high salinity of the water. Stunning sunset, the sun disappears into the horizon creating a crazy atmosphere
At the moment the pier is being renovated after a strong sea storm that damaged it, so it is only partially usable: the part where it is possible to dive and climb up with the ladder remains usable. It is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds on request. There is also a free shower, a rarity on the island's beaches! The easily accessible beach of rocks and stones starts from the pier. There is a beach bar, with small kitchen. I will put the missing star when the concrete pier is completed and you can fully enjoy the splendid sunset that this place offers. Star added, pier completed with the addition of a part where you can sit with your feet overlooking the sea!
I arrived on this beach at sunset and I can say that I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life from here! The view is absolutely breathtaking. However, I don't know if I would have appreciated the beach for a day at the beach considering the discomfort of the large stones and the presence of the concrete platform.
The sunsets from this pebble beach located in the north-west of the island are unmissable. Not crowded but easily reachable via a road that goes down from the provincial road to the coast. The water is shallow up to several meters from the shore but the stones on the bottom are slippery so you have to be careful when swimming. The water is so beautiful that it's worth it.
