Tunamaya Beach

The location is stunning and the cabins are lovely, as are the staff. I’ve only given 3 stars for service because the food isn’t great. The quality of meals ranged from substandard to passable. I wasn’t expecting 5 star quality, at these prices, but it’s not hard to make simple and tasty food. A few dishes were inedible. If the resort can improve the food then they’ll definitely generate more customers. As I say, the staff are great - warm, friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely time with Ben and the guys from the diving centre. Just sort out the cuisine.

The rooms were comfortable, my dining experience left much to be desired. As the hotel's restaurant was the only dining option available, and I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food. To start, the menu seemed promising, with a variety of dishes that sounded appetizing. However, the reality was far from it. The food was completely devoid of flavor. The noodles with barely a hint of sauce. The salad was equally uninspiring, consisting of wilted lettuce and a few sad-looking vegetables. Even the bread, which should be a safe bet, was dry and tasteless. The breakfast buffet wasn't much better. Although there were several options, everything tasted bland. The dining room itself was pleasant, and the staff was friendly and attentive, but they couldn't make up for the lackluster food. I expected much more from a hotel of this caliber, especially considering the cost of the meals. Overall, my stay at Tunamaya was marred by the disappointing food. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality of the food. Until then, I can't recommend dining at this hotel.

Upon arriving first impression walking up the jetty and seeing the main buildings roof condition as well as the facial boards rotten as well as unpainted was a massive let down. My room had many issues from a fuzzy TV, rotten step at entrance, stopped up sink all items were corrected or repaired quickly. I really enjoyed my room. My issues was the main building which every gathers as well as has meals. The food is. It something I’d want to eat again enjoyed the seafood but the western dishes “Oh No” . If you’re looking for a nice beach this is not your place. The pool area was ok but also had damaged area around the pool. Many of the wooden board walk ways were rotten and in bad condition. Don’t even bother putting the little card they provide to get your bedding changed “they don’t change it unless you stand and ask directly and watch them change it’” personally I don’t think I would return to this location. Staff are very friendly smile and serve you well.

Had a fantastic stay at Tunamaya Tioman. The service was exceptional from start to finish, with Ms. Diana at the front desk providing a warm welcome. The food at the cafes was delicious and reasonably priced. The breakfast spread was impressive, and Mr. Milton and his team delivered excellent service throughout our stay.

Perfect place to relax. I don't understand the feedback in here around Food options. On the other hand, We were there for 3 days. If you stay here for 2 weeks, i can imagine that it becomes limited. The snorkeling and diving centre which is part of the resort is really good!
