We came for the beach. It was very quiet and few people which was great. Nice and peaceful. Costs 300 pesos per person to park there (plus the 105 peso entrance fee to the reserve). Downsides are the beach is pretty dirty… lots of trash washed up. Also the restaurant is pricey. We expected it to be more reasonable than the hotel zone, but it was about the same.
This place and the people here were the best thing about Tulum. Hats off to our host Maria who was so welcoming and hospitable. Good food, good people, beautiful location+++ All around amazing place.
Do you enjoy a kind of a lay back relaxing almost wild beach yet with comfortable sun beds and nice food served by the ocean? It’s all that and more..In the natural reserve park. If you come earlier, you can even enjoy having the beach for yourself. And if you walk 200 m away ( or less) you can swim nude.:)
Wow! What a place. Absolute Paradise. We visited here unexpectedly as we were driving past and fancied a drink and some lunch. The setting is outstandingly beautiful and the service was fantastic. It’s ‘rustic’, so if you like your home comforts then this might not be your thing. But the authenticity of the place is what makes it. The food portions were HUGE! We had the shrimp nachos which were amazing and we shared them between two of us. We even made friends with the lovely dog who clearly enjoys the attention and tip bits he receives from the visitors! But he was no bother at all and was ushered away if the owner’s felt that he was unwelcome at your table. To be honest, we definitely encouraged him over to us as he just looked so gorgeous! We would have taken him home if we could! Our favourite place in the whole of Tulum. Thank you!
A quiet retreat away from the teeming masses. This was a terrific place to relax for a day and enjoy the clear blue water, beautiful beaches, and good food. The road to this spot is very rutted - but also absolutely worth it. Get there early to grab a great spot, but don’t worry about crowds.
