This resort is clearly set up to overcharge its guests. The initial $310.00 (USD) room rate quickly balloons to $442.00 (USD) with added resort fees and taxes. The prices for food and drinks are exorbitant, such as $56.00 (USD) for 3 shots of Baileys in coffee (coffee itself costing an extra $7.00 USD). Dining at the resort can easily cost over $200 (USD) per day per person, excluding alcohol. Despite the resort's stunning exterior, the interior leaves much to be desired. The rooms are outdated and plagued with maintenance issues like leaking toilets, malfunctioning plugs, and sticky doors. While the staff is friendly, the service around the pools is lacking. Overall, I will not be returning to this resort and would not recommend it to others.
We had a great time at the beach, but it's important to note that we are laid back, patient, and tolerant people. The staff were excellent, the grounds were beautiful and well-maintained, and the views were stunning. The food was decent overall, with breakfast at Tomato's and dinner at De Cortez being highlights. Lunch at Las Sirenas was just okay, and dinner at Pitahayas was good but not exceptional. The rooms were clean and cozy, but lacked soundproofing and had outdated TVs. The pools and beach were fantastic, although it could be difficult to find available seats due to the high number of guests. Some guests were rude, reserving seats without using them, but the staff were helpful in finding seats and removing belongings left unattended. Overall, we found plenty of amenities during our 5-day stay, but if you want to fully enjoy all the experiences, you'll need to be active and not just lounge around.
We had high hopes for a fun week at the beach to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary, but were disappointed to find that the water view room we had reserved was not available. Instead, we were given a room with rat traps outside the front door and more outside the side window. Despite my husband's efforts to make the week special, I couldn't help but feel frustrated. After contacting AmEx, we were eventually moved to a different room without the rat traps. Proceed with caution when booking at this hotel.
The beach is stunning and well-kept, making it a perfect spot for my family's 50th birthday celebration in early September. The restaurants were fantastic, and the pools were clean and peaceful with lovely views. However, the waves at this beach can be dangerous, so we enjoyed the nearby public beach by the marina instead. Overall, everyone in my group had a great time and wants to return in the future.
The hotel rooms offer typical amenities, and we were fortunate to have an ocean-view room with a balcony equipped with comfortable seating. The rooms are spacious and the shower pressure is excellent, which really enhanced our stay. While there aren't many activities nearby and a car is necessary to explore the main part of Cabo, there is plenty to do at the resort itself. The pools are plentiful and during our visit, it was quiet and relaxing. The beach is stunning, but swimming is not recommended. However, you can still enjoy the water with caution. Be sure to wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise. The on-site restaurants were fantastic, although a bit pricey. The quality of the drinks and omelets was top-notch. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of delicious food, unlike your typical hotel buffet. The a la carte options were more basic, but always satisfying. You'll never leave hungry.
