The beach is fantastic with a beautiful bay and plenty of seating to take in the view. I especially enjoy the end of the beach where there is a children's play park and it's fun to watch families paddling in the sea during low tide. There are also restroom facilities and numerous cafes where you can grab a pie, cake, or coffee. Overall, it's a wonderful spot to visit.
The finish area for the Ocean Swim from Rangitoto Island is a lovely beach with a beautiful outlook. I will definitely return to relax on the beach.
Get yourself a coffee and take a stroll down to the beach (St Heliers Home Cookery is a great spot, their cakes are top-notch but it can get crowded in the mornings). There are plenty of other options as well. Take a leisurely walk along the boardwalk and relax. It's not too crowded since many visitors tend to stop at Mission Beach. Moretons is a great place to grab a beer and enjoy the view of the sea from their outdoor seating area. The atmosphere is super relaxed and the staff are friendly.
The beach is lovely with a walkway running along the perimeter, stretching from one end to the cliff face. It offers a spacious area for swimming and relaxing on the sand. At the cliff end, there are some rocks that extend into the sea. Additionally, there is a playground and public toilet located at one end of the beach. The shops are conveniently situated near the entrance, making everything easily accessible.
This beach in the Auckland area is one of our favorites! It has a wide sandy beach with a walkway and biking path nearby. Behind the beach, there is a grassy area with shade trees, benches, and seating perfect for picnics. It's a fantastic spot for swimming or paddle boarding, and there is even a boat dock. Across the street, you'll find Vellenoweth Green, a large park with plenty of open grass for activities or family gatherings, as well as some iconic huge trees.
