Nice little cove, very few people. Looks like a great place to camp.
Following the Port Underwood Road, you’ll find Robin Hood Bay, another great spot for dog friendly camping. A beautiful sandy beach that is perfect for swimming and sun bathing. The Department of Conservation operates a campground next to the beach with public toilets. Fishing is also a popular activity here. Felt very calm and good after reaching here. We went there in the Christmas time so there were so many comping vans and tents. Beautiful green forest surrounding, makes it more picturesque. I will recommend this place if you guys looking for the camping.
Blissfully beautiful beach. Was a tad windy. On a hot summers day it was wonderful to escape the crowds at whites bay and laze on the grass. As it has been a hot hot summer the water was warm enough to stay in for an hour. Wonderful.
We were there on a beautiful, warm sunny day. It is quite a drive on a winding gravel road, but definitely worthwhile. Maybe I should not say that because now everyone wants to go there. That would spoil it. 😊
Sandflies but a nice secluded beach. Campervan access is okay if you have experience, but the road is pretty narrow and harrowing if you are not used to NZ roads.
