There are no words to capture the beauty of this beach. It is a must-visit destination!
The campsite is amazing, but it quickly deteriorates during December when the manager, Ronnie, takes leave. There are no regular check-ups to ensure campers are in the correct spots, and rules about generators and noise are not enforced. Despite its potential, the campsite is poorly managed. Carmen is the only one keeping it running smoothly, making Tietiesbaai worth visiting with family or friends.
Great location, but it's too crowded and staff don't enforce rules on campers who park caravans in the road or exceed the maximum number of people per plot.
The lighthouse was closed and it may not be everyone's preference. There are no trees for shade in the camping areas, so I personally wouldn't camp there for an extended period of time in the harsh sun. It seems more suitable for hardcore campers, as the ablution blocks need improvement and there are only portable toilets available. The road is rough and not suitable for all vehicles, better for 4x4s. These are just my personal thoughts on the location, as I'm sure there are people who will enjoy it.
We absolutely loved the scenic drive to Cape Columbine and Tietiesbaai. The abundance of flowers, untouched sand dunes, and charming caravan park were all delightful surprises.
