The beach is lovely and only a 20-minute walk from the port. You don't need to take the buggy from town as the road passes through charming streets with beautiful gardens. I would give it four stars, but the swimming area is a bit small.
I visited the beach in July. The entrance fee was 250 TL per person. Here are some pros and cons I would like to mention: Pros: - The beach has sandy shores - There is a boat from Heybeli ada to Asaf Aile plaji - The facility is relatively clean - The music is not too loud - There is a variety of food and snacks available Cons: - There was a long wait in line to order food, about 10-20 minutes - The beach can get crowded, which may be uncomfortable for non-smokers due to secondhand smoke - The toilets are small considering the number of visitors - I noticed many jellyfish in the water Overall, I had a good time at the sandy beach. Thank you.
I had a great time at the beach, especially since it was my first time on an island. They were accommodating and allowed us to pay with a bank transfer when we didn't have cash. I would definitely visit again during the week when it's 100 TL instead of 200. The staff was friendly and the beach was clean. While there was no toilet paper, there were small buckets with faucets in the bathroom stalls for washing. I highly recommend this beach for tourists in Istanbul!
The beach itself and the amenities are fantastic, but the service is really poor. On weekends, the entrance fee is 200 TL per person. They provide you with a card that is supposed to be used for purchases inside the beach area, but you have to load money onto the card first before using it. This system is quite inconvenient and makes the card essentially useless. I had a frustrating experience at the bar, waiting in line for 10 minutes only to be told in broken English that I couldn't use the card. It took me another 10 minutes to understand what they were asking for.
The beach on Heybeliada is pretty nice, better than some others, but the water isn't very clean. I saw some crabs while swimming with goggles, which was cool. The water is about 2.5 meters deep and gets deeper quickly. If you're not a strong swimmer, consider wearing a life vest as it can be challenging to swim there.
