My pictures are from 2012 when I was here with a friend. It was a nude beach when I visited, not sure how that is now. Beautiful vistas, beautiful beach, beautiful clear blue water. And the rock formations do appear to be whales breaching. Just lovely❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely walk down to this smaller beach. Went earlier in the day so I had the beach to myself.
Crystal clear water!! I hit the trail before the sun was up and ended up not taking the main trail down, somewhat difficult, definitely need your hiking shoes. The beach was beautiful, nice and sandy and big boulders sprinkled all about. Lots of wildlife, squirrels, birds, even saw a mink! Very peaceful, had the whole beach to myself until around 8:30am. The parking lot fills up fast, so it's best to be early. The main trail is very nice and well traveled, made for a nice and easy walk back to the lot. Definitely worth seeing!!!
Well what can I say love the place it was a great adventure for us with a challenge the hiking down an going back up Maybe we got down the wrong way but it was all worth it it was a steep hill down but the view was great
Whale Beach is a nice beach to relax at on Lake Tahoe. The hike to the beach from the parking area is only about a half to 3/4 mile hike from the parking area on the main road. The beach is further from others to access so is less populated. The small cove area has quiet a few outstanding rocks which are a cool sight to see or swim to. Overall, a nice and slightly less pupilar beach on Lake Tahoe.
